Thor Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi confirms IF the film is ‘multiversal’

Director of Thor: Love and Thunder Taika Waititi clarified if the plot of the sequel will make use of the Multiverse, as reported in the most recent issue of Total Film.

Taika Waititi said that he “likes the idea of the Multiverse”, but brought down all the theories saying “nothing like that in this film”, and to further clarify, called this movie “the singular-verse”.

This comes after the April 2022 synopsis for Love and Thunder claimed to disprove the notion that the Multiverse would be utilized in this new film.

The 46-year-old filmmaker also called this movie unique as compared to other Marvel Films.

“I feel like this one feels more original and unique, and stands apart from a lot of other Marvel films because of that element of love, and leaning into that idea of what love means for all these characters”, said Waititi.
