Hyde Park was jam-packed for Elton John's farewell tour Farewell Yellow Brick Road.
About 50,000 fans came to witness Elton’s tribunal.
Many of them were spotted wearing Elton-tribute novelty specs and seemed in a celebratory mood.
The megastar appeared onstage in a white suit with giant diamante-encrusted collars, and launched into a performance of Benny And The Jets, and the hits came thick and fast for the next two hours.
Famously known as Rocket Man, performed with his tight-knitted band, which includes world-class musicians such as Ray Cooper on percussion.
The singer paid a heartfelt tribute to his band.
He dedicated Holy Moses to the everlasting magic of Aretha Franklin with a performance that showcases his still-strong vocals.
Later, a similarly powerful rendition of Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me was dedicated to George Michael.
Throughout, fans sang along as one with so much energy and enthusiasm, often drowning out the music.
