Ozzy Osbourne announces new album 'Patient Number 9', drops title track
Ozzy Osbourne's title track, 'Patient Number 9' for the album of the same name features Jeff Back
Only a week after ‘life-threatening’ surgery, Ozzy Osbourne has announced his new album Patient Number 9 which will release on September 9.
The Crazy Train singer dropped the music video for the title track of the same name, featuring guitarist Jeff Back.
"The song is about a mental institution. Having someone like Jeff Beck play on my album is just incredible, a total honor. There's no other guitar player that plays like him and his solo on "Patient Number 9" is just jaw-dropping," the Prince of Darkness said in an interview with LoudWire.
The lyrics of the track relay the plight of a patient in a mental hospital. Last year, Ozzy said that he wrote the song for his wife and manager, Sharon Osbourne.
The album will also feature some big names including, guitarists Mike McCready, Zakk Wylde, Tony Iommi, and Eric Clapton.
