Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Disney+ show, has finally ended its six-episode run but whether or not if the Star Wars show is being renewed for a second season is a question that many fans have.
Speaking with British GQ, actor Ewan McGregor, who plays Jedi himself, shared that while the show, which was billed as a limited series, has no confirmation for a second season, it is something he would like to see materialise.
"I really hope we do another," he said.
"If I could do one of these every now and again — I’d just be happy about it."
Meanwhile, Hayden Christensen, who reprised his role as Darth Vader, told Radio Times that he too would like to see a second season.
"Well, it was definitely conceived as a standalone story. But I would love to continue with this character," he said.
"You know, I think there’s certainly more there to explore and I would be so excited to get to do so…I would certainly be open to [returning for ‘Obi-Wan’ Season 2]."
On the flip side however, the show’s creative team have expressed hesitancy over the show being renewed for a second season.
Series director Deborah Chow told Entertainment Tonight: "For this one, we really did conceive it to be a limited series. It really is one big story with a beginning, middle and end. So, we weren’t thinking past that."
"I think, you know, if it was to go forward, it would only be if there was a real reason for another one," Chow added.
