Rupert Murdoch, Jerry Hall part ways after filing for divorce

Business mogul Rupert Murdoch and actress Jerry Hall have reportedly filed for divorce.

According to the New York Times, their split comes as a surprise to those close to the family.

The newspaper and Washington Post reported through anonymous sources that the couple is breaking up.

Last year, Hall was seen "doting on" her partner at his 90th birthday party, according the New York Times.

At the time of his marriage, the billionaire shared on Twitter that he was "the luckiest AND happiest man in world."

The couple tied the knot in 2016. 

If rumours are true then their marriage lasted only for six years. 

For Murdoch, this would be his fourth divorce and second for Hall.
