Baltimore Ravens Jaylon Ferguson passes away at age 26

Baltimore Ravens linebacker, Jaylon Ferguson is no more, the team announced.

“We are profoundly saddened by the tragic passing of Jaylon Ferguson”, the team stated.

“He was a kind, respectful young man with a big smile and infectious personality. We express our heartfelt condolences to Jaylon's family and friends as we mourn a life lost much too soon”, said the club praising the deceased.

According to NFL, Around 11:25 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Baltimore police rushed to a residence in the 400 block of Ilchester Avenue in Baltimore for a report of suspicious death and discovered an unconscious Ferguson being attended to by paramedics.

The American football outliner was unconscious, and the paramedics declared him dead.

Ferguson, a third-round selection out of Louisiana Tech in 2019, started 10 of the 38 games he played with the Ravens, made 67 tackles, and had 4.5 sacks in three seasons.

Sarah Lawson, Ferguson’s agent also announced the news, “It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of Baltimore Ravens LB Jaylon Ferguson," stated Sarah. "The family asks for your prayers and privacy during this trying time."

The coach of the club also paid his tributes to the player and his family, “Jaylon was a good-hearted, gentle person who loved his family and his team,” said John Harbaugh. “He was a joy to talk with and be around every day. You always wanted to see and talk to 'Ferg.'”

He further added, “Our prayers and our help go to his family. Our hearts are with his Spirit. R.I.P., Jaylon”.
