Running Up The Hill reaches No. 1 on U.K. Charts

Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill soared to No. 1 on U.K. Charts following its use in season four of Netflix's hit series, Stranger Things.

The song was originally released in 1985 as a part of her fifth studio album, Hounds of Love, and is produced and written by the singer.

“I’m overwhelmed by the scale of affection and support the song is receiving and it’s all happening really fast, as if it’s being driven along by a kind of elemental force,” Bush posted comments on her official website.

“I have to admit I feel really moved by it all. Thank you so very much for making the song a No. 1 in such an unexpected way.”

With the track reaching this milestone, it marked 44 years since the artist reached No. 1 with her single Wuthering Heights in 1978.

Moreover, Bush also became the oldest female artist ever to lead the Official U.K. Singles Chart, at 63 years and 11 months.
