Kate Middleton was seen wearing a white dress covered in dark brown polka dots at Royal Ascot, looking strikingly similar to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana.
Princess Diana wore a similar dotted style by Victor Edelstein to the famous horse race event in 1988.
The dress was designed by Alessandra Rich, inspired by the late princess’ look.
While Diana chose a polka dot hat and navy-and-white pumps, the Duchess of Cambridge elegantly accessorized the silk dress with a brown hat covered with white flowers along with chocolate suede pumps and a matching clutch.
Her hair was held up in an updo, making room for the late Princess of Wales’ gorgeous diamond and pearl drop earrings to show. The duchess also wore the earrings at the 2019 BAFTAs in London.
Puffed sleeves and a dramatic shoulder ruffle were inspired by ’80s yacht club culture.
