Bad Bunny makes history as Marvel's first Latinx superhero in movie El Muerto

Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, also known by his stage name, Bad Bunny will be taking on a lead role in Marvel’s upcoming film El Muerto.

He will be the first Latinx actor to have their own live-action superhero film.

The singer will essay the character of Juan Carlos Estrada/El Muerto (the dead one) who gets powers from a mask that has been passed through generations.

As per Deadline, Bad Bunny told the president of Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group, Sanford Panitch: "I love wrestling. I grew up watching wrestling and I'm a wrestler. I'm a former champion so this is why I love this character. I think it's the perfect role to me and it will be epic."
