The Queen's health has sparked concern among royal fans over her attendance at Prince Philip's memorial

Queen Elizabeth II has ruled out the possibility of using a wheelchair as she is optimistic regarding attending Prince Philip’s memorial, The Sun reports.

The memorial service, which is slated to take place at the abbey on March 29, has doubts whether the Queen will be present at the event.

This comes after Buckingham Palace had announced that the Queen was not well enough to attend the Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey.

According to the publication, palace staff feared that the Queen would not be "comfortable: travelling from Windsor to London and then spending an hour at the event.

Furthermore, fears for her health worsened as it was reported that she could not walk her beloved corgis, for the past six months, due to her frailty and that she may never be able to do so ever again.

Despite all this, the Queen has refused to use a wheelchair for her ease rather may continue to use her walking stick to assist her.
