On Tuesday, Saturday Night Live star Norm Macdonald passed away after fighting private battle with cancer since almost 10 years.
The SNL comedian’s producing partner Lori Jo Hoekstra shared that the former had been fighting with cancer, "He was most proud of his comedy. He never wanted the diagnosis to affect the way the audience or any of his loved ones saw him. Norm was a pure comic. He once wrote that 'a joke should catch someone by surprise, it should never pander.' He certainly never pandered. Norm will be missed terribly.”
Macdonald was born in Canada on 17th October, 1959. He did rounds of stand-up comedy there before going to Los Angeles.
