Camila Cabello spills all about dating Shawn Mendes back in the day

Camila Cabello opened up on her feelings before going on a 1st date with Shawn Mendes.

Camila was so nervous that she resorted to the use of alcohol to boost her spirits.

In an appearance on The Late Late Show, Camila said, "I swear to God before Shawn and I's first date, I was so nervous, I took two tequila shots.”

She added, “I sang the song ‘Defying Gravity’ in the shower for a little extra courage.”

For those unversed, the duo had been just friends for a long time before they jumped into a ‘commitment.’

Camila was quite anxious and nervous to take things to the next level with Shawn.

The two met on the sets of their debut collaboration single in 2015 named I Know What You Did Last Summer.
