Popular streaming channel Netflix has dropped the teaser of the much-awaited movie Don't Look Up on Wednesday. The star-studded film features actors, Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio, who play a pair of astronomers, who attempt to warn the world about an approaching comet that will destroy the humankind on earth.
The 31-year-old Hunger Games starlet plays Kate Dibiasky, an astronomy grad student, who, with her professor Dr. Randall Mindy (DiCaprio, 46), makes the astounding discovery that a comet is on a direct collision course for Earth.
Following their discovery, the two try to warn everyone around the world with a media tour and end up landing in the President's office.
Meryl Streep plays the role of President, who is not taking the astronomers’ concern seriously. Jonah Hill, who plays the President's son and Chief Of Staff, can be seen laughing it off in the teaser, saying, "So boring!"
The ensemble cast of Don't Look Up also includes names such as Ariana Grande, Cate Blanchett, Timothee Chalamet, Tyler Perry, Ron Perlman and Kid Cudi, among others.
Written and directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Adam McKay (The Big Short), Don't Look Up begins streaming on Netflix on Dec. 24.
