Country star Luke Bryan opened up about his successful marriage with wife Caroline, whom he met 23 years ago in their young, soulful college days. Coming December, the parents of two boys, will mark their 15 years of being married to each other.

But being famous isn't all about glamour, it comes at a price. For the latest cover story of PEOPLE magazine, Luke granted insights on his “crazy” household and his shared dynamics with Caroline. He shared that the two have to constantly look out for each other's needs amid their chaotic lives. While describing his family life, Luke said, “We just have a ball in life and have a ball with our kids."

Caroline understands that Luke is a celebrity and loved by many; she realizes that “Luke has a God-given talent to entertain — it's so natural to him.” Despite that, Luke goes the extra mile to ensure that his own stardom doesn’t overshadow his wife. While talking to the publication, he said:

"I want us to be known as a family unit but I also want her to be able to carve her own path and not feel like, just because she married some guy that somehow pulled off being a country singer that she's just 'tsunami-ed' by all of that."

Luke and Caroline have a remarkable love story, which is told in a new IMDb TV docu-series, Luke Bryan: My Dirt Road Diary. The country star admitted that she was “love at first sight.” However, things weren’t always easy for the two and they parted ways for a while after Luke graduated from college. But four years down the road, their paths intertwined and they eventually got married on the Turks and Caicos Islands in 2006.

Luke had his first with All My Friends Say, which came a year after he tied the knot. The couple has been dealing with his fame ever since then.
