Kate Winslet recalls her all-time favorite red carpet look

Hollywood starlet Kate Winslet never failed to impress her fans and fashion critiques with her over the mark, beautiful looks that she had been carrying on red carpet looks over the years. However, recently, the actress has revealed one look that has been her all-time favorite of all.

The Mare of Easttown actress recalled that at the 1998 Oscars, where Winslet was nominated for best actress for her role in Titanic, she wore an emerald green Givenchy gown with gold embroidery and matching bolero, custom-designed by Alexander McQueen.

"It was like embroidered sculpture," she said of the dress, which she wore with a matching bolero. "I have to be honest, the dress was not entirely comfortable to wear. Or sit down in. But it was worth it because he had made it."

The creator of the beautiful dress McQueen died in 2010.

However, Winslet shared a a few tried and true rules for the red carpet. “I always just hope I can keep myself calm and feel comfortable actually and that my feet don’t hurt or I’m not on my period,” she said.

Recently, the Reader actress became a L’Oréal Paris Global Ambassador. “This moment in time feels so unique because this is a new dawn for all women. I think that we are looking out for one another in completely different ways…standing together. For me, that is L’Oréal,” Winslet said.

Other ambassadors include Viola Davis, Camila Cabello, Naomi King, Elle Fanning and Helen Mirren.
