The second season of the Netflix show Never Have I Ever was released on Thursday with 10 episodes. The season kicked start with Devi Vishwakumar, played by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, balancing her love triangle with the hot jock Paxton Hall-Yoshida, played by Darren Barnet, and her former frenemy Ben Gross, played by Jaren Lewison.

The whole season passes by Devi trying to navigate her feelings and trying to pick the right guy for herself. But, by the end of the season, she pairs up with Paxton while Ben is with the new Indian character in the show.

However, neither Maitreyi nor Jaren thinks it is the end of their romance arc. While talking to PEOPLE about the season’s finale, Mariteyi touched on the future of her character on the show and said:

"We all know that's not the end of Devi and Ben," she continued. "Like, we all know that. There's no way."

Jaren, similar to his co-star, also has high hopes for Ben in the upcoming seasons and said, "it is most definitely not" over between Devi and Ben.

Jaren further talked about the future of the show and how many storylines need to unfold, many relationships need to be tested, and many important decisions need to be made. He added, "there's so much to explore in this potential season 3" including how Ben deals with the Devi-Paxton romance amid his relationship with Aneesa.

Darren also weighed in on the future of his character and said that road for Paxton will be challenging as he will explore the new territory of romance.

"I don't think he's ever really had one, to be honest. He's always kind of played the field," Darren, 30, shared. "Then there's so much to weigh in on [in terms of] his friends, [who] are not behind it at all."

Darren also seems to be team Ben and Devi as he shared his thoughts and said the two have a higher level of “compatibility.” To explore all that, even Darren believes that the show is far from being over.
