Iggy is pulling the brakes for a while.

Australian rapper Iggy Azalea announced the news of taking a step away from her music career for a few years to direct her complete energy on “other creative projects.” Iggy seemed positive about exploring other mediums, but right now she’s waiting to drop her third studio album End Of An Era next month.

The Work singer took to her official Twitter handle to announce she’s taking a break from work. Iggy tweeted:

"End of an Era is so special to me because after I drop my album next month I am going to take a few years to focus on other creative projects and things I'm feeling passionate [about] and inspired by, beyond music," she wrote. "I'm excited for you guys to see different sides to me in the future."

Iggy offered explanations for her dedicated fans and also added an element of surprise to get them excited for her future projects. She further wrote:

"Shifting my energy and focus to what I'm most excited about [is] what is right for me and I hope you'll continue to support whatever creative projects I'm out here doing! I really love this album and I just want my fans to enjoy this with me. I hope I see so many of you on tour!"

Fans responded positively to Iggy’s tweets and sent their support and love.
