Scooter Braun had been in the headlines for being involved with an intense spiritual retreat before deciding to split from wife Yael seven years into the marriage.
According to Page Six, the couple decided to split temporarily and have no plans for divorce. The actual reason behind their separation is not yet clear.
However, Yael and Braun’s close and dear friends were aware of the growing distance between the two.
On Jay Shetty’s podcast, in June, Scooter spoke up regarding the spiritual retreat and what led him to it. He said, "A very dark thought came into my head — the ultimate ‘I’m not enough;’ the ultimate ‘I shouldn’t be here.’ I immediately thought — what are you doing here? And I’ve never gone that dark. And I signed up for the Hoffman Project the next day."
For those unversed, the Hoffman Project is a seven day retreat program in which you constantly meditate; a long and careful examination of one’s thoughts through ‘soul searching,’ which leads to healing by recognition of the conflict going on inside a person.
It was reported that the couple were going through some marital issues for a few months that led them to part ways. They have 3 children between them, namely Jagger 6, Levi 4 and Hart 2.
Scooter Braun is an American media proprietor, record executive and investor. He is manager to high profile music artists like Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, J Balvin, Demi Lovato and many others.
On the other hand, Yael is a South African Canadian entrepreneur. She is also a philanthropist and the co-founder of Fuck Cancer, a cancer prevention campaign.
