Chris Evans opens up about his Buddhist inclinations

Actor Chris Evans related the experience of his visit to India for a Buddhist retreat and expressed that he had a certain level of spiritual connection with the country.

Chris is known for his performance in Marvel’s Captain America, and has a huge fan following in India as well.

In an interview with Hindustan Times in 2012, Chris said, “I spent three weeks in Rishikesh in 2005 or 2006 at a Buddhist retreat. I attend a Buddhism class here in LA and the woman who teaches had trained there. So we all went and stayed in this little village for about three weeks, hiked the Himalayas, camped on the banks of the Ganga… it was great.”

Chris Evans turned 40 today and most of his Marvel friends had showered him with love and birthday wishes on his social media.

Director Russo brothers, who directed Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, besides Captain America, shared pictures from one of their movies to wish Chris. Anthony and Joe Russo, took to Instagram and wrote, "Happy big 4-0 @chrisevans. Much love.”
