TikTok’s most popular star Charli D’Amelio has lost interest in Tiktok as she no longer finds joy in using it anymore.

The 17-year-old TikTok superstar appeared on her sister Dixie D'Amelio's YouTube channel and explained that the app that made her globally famous "doesn't feel like it used to."

"It's extremely difficult to want to continue doing something that people say how much they hate," she said.

Charli is Tiktok’s most-followed person with 115 million followers. However, fame isn’t always sunshine and rainbows— or at least that is what the star has admitted before. She has opened up about the bullying she faces online in the past, which has caused her body image issues amongst other self-esteem problems.

The influential star lost a million followers at the end of last year after a video of her complaining about not reaching 100k followers on TikTok went viral. Fans felt like the young starlet is “entitled” and “greedy.”

Charli has passed a 100k milestone but as per the BBC News, she admitted she no longer enjoys competing for more followers because according to her it's stopping her from “trying a lot of new things.”

"It's hard. It doesn't feel like it used to when there were collaborations, fun, and friends," she said. "Now it's like everyone's trying to beat each other. And that doesn't make sense to me.

"That's not why I started TikTok. I started TikTok because I was making fun dance videos with my friends and now it's turned into this whole competition."
