Good news for fans as the all-time hit HBO series Game of Thrones’ prequel series House Of The Dragon has hit the production phase.
The HBO has confirmed the news by sharing a picture on the official Twitter account of the network, from a socially-distanced table read, including stars Paddy Considine and Matt Smith.
Known for his previously played lead role in Doctor Who and portraying the late Duke of Edinburgh in The Crown, Smith is set to play Prince Daemon Targaryen.
On the other hand, Considine is said to play the King Viserys Targaryen in the upcoming series.
The first-look images from the series’ shoot have also been released from the filming sites in Cornwall.
Based on author George R R Martin's 2018 novel Fire & Blood, the House Of The Dragon is set 300 years before the events of GoT and will tell the story of the Targaryen family.
The show, created by Martin alongside showrunners Miguel Sapochnik and Ryan J Condal, is scheduled for release in 2022 on the HBO Max streaming service.
