Daya introduces long-termed girlfriend Clyde Munroe after releasing 'Bad Girl'

Daya took to her Instagram to introduce her girlfriend of 3 years— Clyde Munroe.

American Singer and songwriter Daya released her latest single Bad Girl, which had subtle hints about the songstress budding relationship and discovering her sexuality. However, no affirmations were made about the song until Friday, when the Don’t Let Me Down singer revealed her girlfriend of 3 years.

Daya, 22, shared a montage of adorable pictures with her long-term girlfriend Clyde Munroe and wrote heartfelt captions with it. She started the note with an affirmation that the song Bad Girl is about Clyde and then went on to formally introduce her.

"For those wondering who I wrote this song about, this is Clyde," Daya, 22, wrote. "We've been dating for 3 years now. She's my best friend and my whole world. I'm so lucky."

Daya talked to PEOPLE last month regarding her time as an evolving artist who has been on a journey towards self-discovery.

"All my songs take from real-life experiences but I add a bit of fantasy to them," she said then. "I think it truly shows that arc of my sexuality and me as a person and everything. It's about finding myself for the past five years, it feels like this full circle in a weird way."
