Niall Horan says one direction fans didn’t give privacy

On Tuesday, Niall Horan appeared on episode of People, Just People with host Dermot O’Leary and reflected on how One Direction fans made him feel.

The 27-year-old admitted feeling “like a prisoner” during his boy band days, other than him other members were Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.

Horan told O’Leary, “I struggled with the idea of, 'Why won't you just let us out?'”

The singer also recalled the times when the fans used to, “bang on car windows [before we could get out of the vehicle]. [I was thinking], 'We just want to go for a walk,' you know?”

Horan added, “But, you can't get inside the brain of a fan and now I completely get it, but at the time, you're like, 'You're our age. Just let us out’”.

He further added, “[I wanted to say], 'We just want to walk down the street. You must understand’”.

While speaking about his first all-stadium tour with other band members, the This Town singer said, “[I vividly recall being in] all these amazing cities, but not being able to see them [because fans would surround our hotel]”.

“The police had done a headcount and there were 10,000 people in the street the whole time," he told the host.
