Prince Harry, Meghan Markle resign from working as royal members

On Friday, Buckingham Palace released a statement that Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle will not work for the Royal Family as they have resigned from the royal responsibilities.

The statement read, “Following conversations with The Duke, The Queen has written confirming that in stepping away from the work of The Royal Family it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service”.

“While all are saddened by their decision, The Duke and Duchess remain much loved members of the family,” the statement added.

Moreover, the statement also mentioned that the pair’s royal patronages and honorary military appointments would be returned to Queen Elizabeth II to be reallocated.
