American singer Lady Gaga delivered a power-packed performance while singing the national anthem on Wednesday at the inauguration of US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

All the eyes were set on Gaga as she began singing the American national anthem, The Star-Spangled Banner, at Capitol Hill.

She looked super stunning in a floor-length red skirt and long-sleeved black top with an oversized gold peace dove brooch and black leather gloves. Soon after her performance, Twitter started reacting to her Hunger Games-inspired dove pin.

The gold pin has a Mockingjay symbol from the popular franchise of the Hunger Games. However, Twitter responded as her pin wasn’t actually a Mockingjay but a dove that meant to symbolize peace, grace and mercy.

The Rain On Me singer shared the meaning of her giant gold dove brooch. She took to Twitter to share the sentiment behind her accessory and her hope for the divided nation.

"A dove carrying an olive branch. May we all make peace with each other," Gaga wrote after her performance.

The Shallow singer also sent a prayer of peace on Tuesday during her rehearsal from the U.S. Capitol, "I pray tomorrow will be a day of peace for all Americans. A day for love, not hatred. A day for acceptance, not fear. A day for dreaming of our future joy as a country. A dream that is non-violent, a dream that provides safety for our souls. Love, from the Capitol," she wrote above a shot of her under the Capitol Rotunda.
