Melania Trump won’t be giving White House tour to Jill Biden

Recently, Joe Biden’s representative confirmed that President-elect Joe Biden’s wife Dr. Jill Biden will not be getting a White House tour from Melania Trump.

Jill and Melania last saw each other in October 2020 at the final presidential debate. However, it will be the first time that a first lady won’t be giving a residence tour to her successor.

Journalist Kate Andersen Brower wrote in an op-ed to CNN, “Melania Trump will become the first modern first lady not to invite the woman who will replace her to the White House for a walk-through of the private living quarters on the second and third floors”.

Even Michelle Obama gave residence tour to Melania Trump, this tradition has continued since the 1950s.
