Peaky Blinders to end after season 6

Peaky Blinders' upcoming season will be its last.

The show which tells a story of a mafia in Birmingham in 1991, will be airing its final season on Netflix next year.

Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight said on Monday in a statement, “Peaky is back and with a bang. After the enforced production delay due to the COVID pandemic, we find the family in extreme jeopardy and the stakes have never been higher. We believe this will be the best series of all and are sure that our amazing fans will love it."

“While the TV series will be coming to an end, the story will continue in another form,” he added.

Despite the greater ambitions of the producers, the show will now wrap with season six in 2022.
