Ellen DeGeneres reveals she found herself COVID-19 positive while on ‘Ellen’ set

Renowned American TV host Ellen DeGeneres has recently revealed that she found out herself COVID-19 positive while she was filming an episode of Ellen.

On Wednesday, DeGeneres appeared back on TV after recovering from coronavirus. She opened up about her experience with the novel coronavirus for the first time since she announced her positive results in December.

“Obviously there are a lot of negative things going on so I want to talk about something positive, my COVID test,” she told the virtual audience.

As Page Six reported, DeGeneres, 62, hosted the first episode of her show with her virtual audience. “I was in hair and makeup, getting my face powdered and my extensions put in, and then my assistant Craig walks in and said, ‘You tested positive for COVID,’ and then everyone around me ran away,” she said.

She talked about her time during quarantine and said, “Portia made me sleep in a different room on a different bed because she wanted the race car bed all to herself,” she jokingly said of wife Portia de Rossi.

She also revealed that she took 16 hours sleep in the first few days that later caused her severe back pain. She also tweeted about the excruciating back pain and said that she wasn’t aware it could be a coronavirus symptom.

She urged her viewers and fans and followers to follow all the necessary SOPs to fight against the novel virus.
