Tom Hanks to host Joe Biden’s inauguration special televised show

Hollywood veteran actor Tom Hanks will be hosting the special televised primetime show for president-elect Joe Biden on Jan. 20.

The organizers of the show confirmed on Wednesday that the show has been organized to celebrate the inauguration of Biden as president.

After witnessing the intense Capitol Hill riots, Americans are happy to see their elected president take his charge and the ceremony will be hosted by their favorite Forrest Gump star.

As per Reuters, the 90-minute special show will be called Celebrating America that will feature performances by prominent celebrities including Jon Bon Jovi, Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake and Ant Clemons.

The official statement from Biden’s inaugural committee said that the usual inaugural events have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including the traditional parade and inaugural balls normally held in Washington.

However, the statement said that the television special “will showcase the American people’s resilience, heroism, and unified commitment to coming together as a nation to heal and rebuild.”

The program will be broadcast on television networks CBS, ABC, CNN, NBC and MSNBC, and streamed on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and other online platforms, the inaugural committee added.
