Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner made a memorable but brief appearance on 'Gossip Girl'
It’s been exactly a decade since Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner’s special appearance on 'Gossip Girl'. The title of the episode was ‘Easy J’, and it aired on the couple’s first wedding anniversary.
The power couple was seen blending with the original cast of ‘Gossip Girl’ at a party. However, in 2017, Josh Schwartz co-creator of ‘Gossip Girl’ had one regret about the couple’s cameo.
He said in the interview that he should have given more dialogues to Kushner in the episode. He further added that it was not so hard to convince the couple for a special appearance on the show, while comparing to the celebrities who cannot be convinced easily.
“It would’ve been, ‘They’re on a list and they’re in town — reach out and see if they’re available,'” adding, “People wanted to be on the show. It was a crazy thing” Schwartz said.
Ivanka in an interview with InStyle magazine revealed that she never missed an episode of Gossip Girl. “I think I’m a cross between Blair Waldorf (played by Leighton Meester) and Lily van der Woodsen (Kelly Rutherford) when it comes to the style. I like the uptown city style and a clean-cut, streamlined silhouette” she added.
Ivanka expressed excitedly that the episode aired on the couple’s first wedding anniversary which was like icing on the cake for her. She also said she enjoyed and had fun while filming with her husband Jared Kushner.
