Ellen DeGeneres lauds Pope Francis for breaking up from the Victorian doctrine and ‘seeing love for what it is’

Ellen DeGeneres lauds Pop Francis for advocating same-sex civil rights

Ellen DeGeneres seems floored by Pope Francis and his more 'woke' views on same sex marriage, so much so that she has taken to sharing her adoration for the head of the Catholic churchover on social media.

Ellen's adoration began as a result of the pope's decision to break away from Victorian doctrine and align with the civil rights movement, all in an effort to support same-sex marriages.

Shortly after its news went viral, Ellen showcased her enthusiasm via a short and concise tweet that read, “Thank you, Pope Francis, for seeing love for what it is.”

This is not the only show of support Pope Francis has shown for the LGBTQ+ community either. During the earlier release of his documentary, Francesco, the Pope spoke candidly about his thoughts on same sex partnerships and admitted, “Homosexuals have a right to be a part of the family.”

At the time he also added, “They’re children of God and have a right to a family. Nobody should be thrown out, or be made miserable because of it. What we have to create is a civil union law. That way they are legally covered. I stood up for that.”
