Madonna recalls horrifying experience being raped at gun-point in new biopic

In light of her upcoming biopic, Grammy award winning singer and pop sensation Madonna recalls one of her most horrifying life experiences.

Back when the singer moved to New York City from Michigan at the tender age of 20, she was filled with dreams and wanted to make her own mark on the industry, however, she suffered numerous instances of abuse and violence.

From being burgled thrice to being raped at gunpoint, "New York wasn't everything I thought it would be. It did not welcome me with open arms.”

According to a letter penned to Harper’s Bazaar back in 2016 the singer opened up about one instance of abuse she endured during her initial days within the industry.

Reportedly, “The first year, I was held up at gunpoint. Raped on the roof of a building I was dragged up to with a knife in my back, and had my apartment broken into three times. I don't know why; I had nothing of value after they took my radio the first time."

At the time, Madonna also admitted that people found it “strange” that she was doing the "opposite of what all the other girls were doing.” All of this turned her into a “man repeller.”

Apart from being openly shunned by the city and those around her, sources privy to the contents of her upcoming biopic claim the singer suffered tremendously before finding fame.

An insider told The Mirror, "She lost her mother to cancer when she was just five, something a child never gets over. But she turned her loss and pain into a creative force to be reckoned with.”

"There will be some shockers, as that is just part of her DNA. This has been an incredibly cathartic process for Madonna. She is uncovering memories that have long been left dormant. She has done and achieved so much, so to have this time to reflect has been quite magical.”

Per sources, writing out this biopic has been a cathartic experience for the singer, "I keep forgetting that I'm writing about myself... I can't make s*** up! But in fact I don't need to. The truth will set you free and also be devastating!"
