Princess Lilibet turned 2 over the weekend

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly celebrated their daughter, Princess Lilibet, turning 2 in an intimate affair in California over the weekend.

Speaking to OK! Magazine UK, royal expert, and journalist Jennie Bond dished on her expectations from the event, saying that its probable to "see a sprinkling of celebrities and a laid-back party, which hopefully will include some other toddlers."

She was also enthused by the prospect of the toddler receiving birthday wishes from her grandfather, King Charles III coupled with a handful of Royal gifts.

"It would be nice to think the day might include a video call to Lilibet’s grandfather, King Charles III, and hopefully some sort of gift has been arranged and will be delivered to Montecito for her birthday," she shared.

Meanwhile, another source claimed to New Idea that the monarch "had his aides looking at custom-made cubby houses, similar to what the Queen and Princess Margaret had when they were girls."

"He wants to give Lili something she will use and be hers," they said. "She’ll remember it forever – it’s going to be the ultimate surprise. Harry has warned Charles [however] to be less extravagant."

Lilibet is the youngest of the former royal couple’s 2 children and was born in California a year after Harry and Meghan announced their decision to quit their life as Royals.
