Hayley William made her political stance very clear during a weekend show in New Jersey
Hayley Williams has sparked quite a discourse on social media in the wake of her overt stance on politics.
During a show at the Adjacent Music Festival in New Jersey over the weekend, the Paramore vocalist expressed her distaste towards Republican presidential candidate Ron De Santis and his supporters.
“I’ll be happy to tell you,” she professed, “I’m very [expletive] comfortable talking about politics.”
“If you vote for Ron DeSantis, you’re [expletive] dead to me,” the Hard Times singer affirmed. “So, is that comfortable enough for anyone?”
The 34-year-old singer also sported a shirt with an inscription reading: “Abort the Supreme Court” in reference to its decision to abolish Roe vs. Wade laws during the concert.
While the majority of the internet applauded Hayley for her brave stance on the matter, many Republicans lamented that the singer “just destroyed her own brand” with the outrage.
“Hayley Williams is dead to me,” another retorted. “Not that she hates DeSantis, but that she supports the LGBTQ+ agenda that accommodates TQ Groomers and that she bashes anyone who thinks differently.”
“Bravo, Hayley Williams!! Need more like her to put Defascist in his place!!” a third lauded.
