Ayesha Curry shares approach to handling women around her husband

Ayesha Curry alleges the 2019 Red Table Talk interview with Jada Pinkett Smith was unfairly edited, distorting her words.

Ayesha Curry, the featured digital cover star of Insider magazine's May 2023 issue, addressed her viral 2019 Red Table Talk comments about her marriage to NBA star Stephen Curry.

In an interview with journalist Muna Mire, the 34-year-old mother-of-three voiced her dissatisfaction with the editing of the episode, expressing that it portrayed her in an unfavorable light.

Ayesha stated that the show had been edited in a manner that distorted her words, making her sound "crazy."

"Yeah. I took that one personally," Ayesha Curry further elaborated regarding the now-canceled Facebook Watch series.

During her conversation on Red Table Talk, Ayesha Curry candidly acknowledged, "I have zero — it sounds strange— but, like, male attention.

So then I start internalizing it and questioning, Is something wrong with me? I don't necessarily desire that attention, but it would be comforting to know that someone notices."

Curry expressed her concern, prefacing her statement by sharing, "Something that bothers me, and honestly has given me a sense of a little bit of insecurity, is the fact that there are all these women throwing themselves... but for the past 10 years, I don't have any of that."

The discussion also touched upon her husband's female admirers, with Ayesha addressing the topic prompted by host Jada Pinkett-Smith.

Ayesha revealed, "Stephen is naturally very kind-hearted."

"Everything is always very friendly, sometimes to the point where — I'm a grown woman, so I'll just insert myself and be like, Hello, how are you doing?"

"The ladies will always be lurking, hoping for their moment and waiting. I honestly hate it."

Ayesha Curry's remarks generated a wave of backlash online, but her husband, the Golden State Warriors superstar, swiftly came to her defense.

Taking to Instagram, he shared a photo alongside his wife and expressed his pride in her authenticity and willingness to speak her mind.

He commended her for not being afraid of the potential negativity and nonsense that may arise, stating, "Proud of you for being authentic and putting yourself out there."
