The much-anticipated action film John Wick: Chapter 4 has honoured late star Lance Reddick in its end credits sequence in advance of its March 24 worldwide release.

The new sequel features Reddick, who passed away at the age of 60 the week before the movie's debut. He returns as Charon in the sequel. In the most recent chapter, he was given a send-off after his death.

The credits from a recent showing feature a brief tribute to Reddick, which Deadline published on Twitter.

"In memory of Lance Reddick" is written in black text on a white background in the brief segment.

Reddick passed away from what a spokesperson characterized as "natural causes," and after hearing the news, John Wick: Chapter 4 star Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski released a joint statement stating they will be dedicating the movie to the late actor.

"We are deeply saddened and heartbroken at the loss of our beloved friend and colleague Lance Reddick. He was the consummate professional and a joy to work with," they said.

"Our love and prayers are with his wife Stephanie, his children, family and friends. We dedicate the film to his loving memory. We will miss him dearly," reads the statement.
