Victoria's Secret was canceled after its fashion show was called out for lack of inclusivity

Victoria's Secret will make a reappearance on the runway after a four-year-hiatus

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will return to screen this year after going on a four-year-long hiatus.

The lingerie company announced during its 2022 earnings call that the show, notably famous for its Angels and over-the-top display, will return to its former glory but as a "new version".

"We're going to continue to lean into the marketing spend to invest in the business, both at top-of-funnel and also to support the new version of our fashion show, which is to come later this year," chief financial officer Timothy Johnson said during Friday's earnings call.

A spokesperson for the brand told The Hollywood Reporter, that the company has been working to rebrand itself from its previously controversial image, that was less diverse and consisted of tall and skinny models, to one that it more inclusive and empowering.

The company is "always innovating and ideating in all spheres of the business to continue to put our customer at the center of all we do and reinforce our commitment to championing women's voices and their unique perspectives."

The company's CEO Martin Waters also spoke about the company's progress and said, "We believe we're two years into a five-year journey in the turnaround of our business, and we have a clear roadmap to be the world's leading fashion retailer of intimate apparel."
