Woody Harrelson sparked a list of controversies with his remarks on his SNL monologue

Woody Harrelson made some questionable statements about the Covid-19 vaccines in his Saturday Night Live monologue.

While hosting the show for the fifth time in a row, he opened up about one of the craziest scripts he came across.

"So the movie goes like this: the biggest drug cartels in the world get together and buy up all the media and all the politicians and force all the people in the world to stay locked in their homes, And people can only come out if they take the cartels' drugs and keep taking them over and over,'' he said.

He then further wittily revealed, "I threw the script away. I mean, who was going to believe that crazy idea? Being forced to do drugs? I do that voluntarily all day.''

His aforementioned script referred to the coronavirus lockdown in 2020, implemented to spread the surge.

List of controversies Woody Harrelson had in the past

This is not the first time Woody spread fire with his controversial remarks on Covid as he has made other comments about the virus in the past.

In 2020, when the pandemic was at its peak globally, Woody shared a post comparing the virus with the 5G network, but deleted it later.

Then came the May interview with Vanity Fair where Woody thought wearing masks was rather absurd as he does not believe in the germ theory.

In spite of all the eye-brow-raising comments, Woody was lucky as he was honoured with the Five-Timers Club jacket by Scarlett Johansson and nominated two times at the Oscars.
