Jenna Ortega expresses Netflix would love to see Lady Gaga in Wednesday season 2

A surge in interest in Netflix's Wednesdayled to Lady Gaga's Bloody Marymaking its debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart lately. But what if Gaga were to play the lead role in the Addams Family blockbuster hit's second season? During the official digital pre-show for the Golden Globes, main lede Jenna Ortega said, "I'm sure Netflix would love that."

When a dancing scene fromWednesdayEpisode 4 was remixed to Lady Gaga's Bloody Mary,it became viral on TikTok. To Lady Gaga's song, millions of TikTok users recreated Ortega's signature dance.

The soundtrack for the moment in the episode is Goo Goo Muckby The Cramps. The Bloody Marysong by Lady Gaga became so famous thanks to the TikTok craze that Gaga herself reproduced Ortega's dance on the website.

"It’s really strange," Ortega said about Gaga getting in on the WednesdayTikTok craze.

"You know what’s funny? A long time ago I worked with a hairdresser that worked with Gaga and I just had seen Gaga in concert a few years before. [The hairdresser got] Gaga [to make] me a video saying she heard I was a fan. Gaga made me a sweet video. I doubt she remembers. But to see her to do that now…it’s one of those moments you realize life changes really fast."

What part should Gaga perform in Season 2 of Wednesday? Ortega said that it would need to be comparable to Wednesday's friendship with Miss Thornhill (Christina Ricci): "If Lady Gaga were to be a part of it, they’d have to be two monsters who understand each other."

Ortega said she’s had "no contact" with Gaga otherwise. As for Season 2, Ortega could only say this: "I have seen nothing and I know nothing. As the actor you’re told what to do. I’m waiting on it! I think they’re just starting to get a writers room together so we’ll see."
