Noah Schnapp announced the news on TikTok
Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp has come out as gay.
In a TikTok video, the 18-year-old revealed to his 31.4million followers that his loved ones already had an inkling about his sexual orientation when he was working up the to tell his family.
In the selfie-style clip the actor captioned the video: "When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was 'we know.'"
"I guess I’m more similar to will than I thought," the actor, who essays the character of Will Byers in the Netflix series, captioned the post.
This comes after viewers speculated that Schnapp’s character was part of the LGBTQIA+ community, which was later confirmed by the teen himself in July 2022 when he told Variety, "He is gay, and he does love Mike".
