TikTok took down the videos where Billie Eilish was edited into sexually explicit bodies
Billie Eilish became the victim of deepfake technology after her image was wrongly used for the creation of pornography videos.
In TikTok clips that garnered millions of views, it showed the singer's face superimposed on sexually explicit bodies which landed on peoples' For You Page.
The photo slideshow garnered over 11 million views before TikTok removed the video in violation for its community guidelines and sexual harassment.
Despite the app's firm prohibition on overly sexualised content, the self-generated AI video circulated on the app for four days.
A spokesperson for the company said: "This content violates our Community Guidelines, which clearly states that we do not allow content which alters or morphs an image of another individual to portray or imply sexual suggestiveness."
