Jon Gruden leaked emails scandal is up for hearing
Following the Jon Gruden leaked emails scandal, the Oversight Committee, the House's primary investigative body, started investigating how Washington was acting.
Jon Gruden frequently corresponded with Allen, who was in Washington's front office from 2010 to 2019 before leaving his position in 2021 after The New York Times released emails in which Gruden routinely used obscene, misogynistic language.
In a hearing with the Committee, Allen stated that a senior NFL official had informed him that the Commanders had leaked the emails, ostensibly to blame him and not Snyder, the franchise's owner, for the harsh work environment at their own team.
