Jennifer Lawrence usually knows for not dieting

Jennifer Lawrence talked about her refusal of dieting while casted as a lead in one of the blockbuster movies, Hunger Games. Instead, the actress emphasizes on the idea of body positivity.

While talking to Viola Davis for Variety’s Actors on Actors issue, the Causeway star recalled the "conversation" she had with the movie’s direction team to lose this much weight for her 2012 action movie.

Lawrence, 32, further told in the interview about her choices that she made regarding not losing weight as it could affect really badly the immature minds.

"Along with me being young and growing and not able to be on a diet, I don't know if I want all of the girls who are going to dress up as Katniss to feel like they can't because they're not a certain weight," Lawrence said.

"And I can't let that seep into my brain either."

Not only then, the actress has voiced her thoughts many times as well.

In 2013, the Red Sparrow actress once again shed light on the importance of body positivity during an interview held by BBC.

"But, I just kept saying, 'We have the ability to control this image that young girls are going to be seeing,' " she said.

Lawrence, who encourages body positivity, is famously known for not dieting but to stay fit.

"I do exercise! But I don't diet," she told Glamour in 2012. "You can't work when you're hungry, you know?"
