Jake Flint, a country music performer, passed away. He was 37.

The young musician from Oklahoma released a number of studio albums and singles, including What's Your Name?and Long Road Back Home.

After learning that his father had ALS, he developed a love for country music and requested his friends to teach him how to play the guitar so that he could play sports with his son.

Following his wedding on Saturday, the singer passed away in his sleep, according to his publicist Clif Doyal, who spoke to The Oklahoman.

Brenda Cline, who served as Flint's previous manager, also confirmed the news on Sunday and said she had loved Flint "much like a son" and that he had passed away just before going back on tour on December 2 after his wedding.

"The funniest, most hilarious, hardest working, dedicated artist I have ever worked with in my career. We were just about to embark on some business together after he and Brenda got married- which was yesterday. Yes-yesterday," she wrote.
