Meghan Markle's bizarre Christmas gift demand from late Queen for Archie

What do you get the individuals who have everything when you want to buy them a gift? The Royal Family is renowned for its odd and distinctive holiday customs.

Additionally, according to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle received a really odd request for Archie one year from the Queen.

The Duke of Sussex stated that his late grandmother gave her great-grandson a waffle maker for Christmas during his presentation on James Corden's The Late Late Show.

He explained: "Interestingly, my grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas and Meg said a waffle maker.

"She sent us a waffle maker for Archie.

"Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix, in the waffle maker, flip it, out it comes, he loves it. Archie literally wakes up in the morning and says 'waffle'."

Royal expert Robert Jobson told The Express in 2021: “On Christmas Eve when all the clan are together, the Queen's grandchildren and great-grandchildren put the finishing touches to the 20ft Christmas tree in the White Drawing Room."

"Presents will be opened that day at tea time as the royals still keep to the German practice of opening their gifts on Christmas Eve."

Cards indicating the precise locations of the gift piles are placed on a trestle table covered in white linen in the Red Drawing Room.

"Once everyone has arrived, the royal guests enjoy a traditional Christmas that includes putting the finishing touches on the Christmas tree and the giving of cheap and humorous gifts."
