Lee, essayed by Timothée Chalamet (L) and Maren, played by Taylor Russell (R), in Bones and All

Following the release of the cannibalistic romance movie Bones and All, many were wondering if the chilling story was based off of a book.

For fans eagerly waiting, the movie is confirmed to be based off of Camille DeAngelis’ novel of the same name.

While the movie does largely take on the various moments and themes, there are some differences that make the movie different form the original.

For example, it is Maren’s mother who leaves, and she decided to look for her father, essentially the reverse of what takes place in the movie.

In addition, the book reveals that Maren essentially feels compelled to eat a person if they show her affection which the does not explicitly state.

The cast features Timothée Chalamet as Lee and Taylor Russell, as Maren, as a cannibalistic couple central to the story.
