Netflix decides to cancel 'Fate: The Winx Saga' after only two seasons

Netflix has decided to cancel the teen drama series Fate: The Winx Saga just after two seasons.

On November 1,Bryan Young, the developer, and showrunner of the Netflix series,Fate: The Winx Saga,announced the cancellation in an Instagram post.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Young wrote in his post, "This is not fun news to share, but Netflix have decided not to move forward with season three of Fate: The Winx Saga."

He added, "This is especially tough because I know how many of you loved this season. It’s a heartbreaking silver lining, but a silver lining all the same."

The series is based on the Nickelodeon animated series Winx Club, telling the story of Abigail, a fairy raised by human parents. After enrolling in a boarding school for other fairies, she learns about her past and deals with the threat to both the magical Otherworld and her earthly home.

The series went on air in January 2021and spent three weeks in the top 10 of Nielsen’s U.S. streaming charts for original shows. It fell off the ranking two weeks after season 2.
