Singer Manuela blames Taylor Swift for spoofing visual ideas

Singer Manuela claimed on social media that Taylor Swift plagiarised her Visual EP for the Friday-released Anti-Hero song video.

Manuela released footage from both of their videos to draw attention to some notable similarities after seeing the 32-year-old pop star's video, which was motivated by her "nightmare scenarios and intrusive thoughts."

"I’m literally a #swiftie so it's simultaneously painful and such an honor to even beg this question - am i on a moodboard??" she captioned the recording, which showed Swift's video playing on the top and Manuela's on the underneath.

Both women may be seen looking in the mirror while clones of themselves staring at them in the opening seconds of the compared footage.

Next, Swift and her clone and Manuela's clone give each other high fives. Another instance was when they scaled the roofs of their different houses.

The clones pushing each other could be the most striking similarity; while Manuela gets thrown off a roof, Swift pushes her other self off a roof.

Manuela clarified to her 6,816 Instagram followers on Sunday night that her song, Glimmer, was recorded in October 2020 before being released in April 2022.

She also shared someone's theory that it is "very possible an art director directly referenced this video at some point during the production process."
