Candace Cameron Bure reveals secret to happy marriage

Candace Cameron Bure has revealed the secret to her successful marriage.

The Growing Pains alum, who has been married to former hockey player Valeri Bure for over twenty-six years, has opened up about how sex has been a key to her happy life.

"Sex obviously is important," she said during the Breakdown podcast.

She noted that she hates how "sex within marriage gets such a bad rap," acknowledging that in some marriages sex can become stale.

As a religious body, she believes "sex is a gift from God to be within the constraints of marriage and that it is to be celebrated and a huge part of marriage."

The Hallmark star continued to share her insight on sex, calling it a "blessing of being married and committed to someone" and shared that tired jokes about longer marriages being sexless aren’t accurate in her case.

"I’m not trying to talk about my sex life," she clarified, "but I do think it is important to share what a healthy sex life within marriage can be just in saying like that that’s important."

The 46-year-old actress noted, "It’s an important part of the relationship that we make time for one another, that we still love each other both physically, you know, spiritually, mentally, all of the things. It all comes hand in hand."

She added, "I’m a happier person and my husband’s a happier person when we’ve had sex."
