Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not on good terms with the royal family after they stepped down from their senior roles
Queen Elizabeth II’s one of the last wishes was that Prince Harry will mend fences with the rest of the royal family.
Speaking to People, royal author Robert Hardman revealed, “The Queen adored Harry right to the end, and Harry adored her.”
He said that the late monarch was one of the “conduits” between Windsor and California, adding that “it would have been one of her dearest wishes that they patch things up.”
The rift was created between Prince Harry and the royal family after he stepped down from the role of senior royal along with his wife Meghan Markle in 2020.
Harry’s frayed relationship with his family hit a new low in March 2021 when he and Markle sat down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey and aired some dirty laundry regarding the royals.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had been in Europe for several charitable events when Queen Elizabeth died at age 96 on September 08.
